Spring Spruce Up

Hi, my name is Stella and I’m a sucker for design, architecture and interiors. I love color, texture, angles, and structures both old and new. I love browsing through nest magazines, I was sad when Cottage Living died and love it when a design catalog arrives in mail. I had a drafting class in high school that I d.u.g. I loved the precision, the angles, and the beautiful end product. My dad was a structural engineer – he looked at buildings, bridges and columns everywhere we went. I’m pretty sure that’s where my love for design started. For a semester or two, I wanted to be an architect. And then I was introduced to math beyond trig and that’s where the “Asians are good at math” stereotype ended with me and when the being-an-architect-when-I-grow-up dream died. My love for design didn’t end, though. I still love me some design*sponge and Sarah Richardson. Last week, I had the great pleasure of working with Aimee Griffin, owner of Liv Wel Design. After the shoot, I wanted to run to Britex and find some sweet new fabric to use in my living room. The dream is not dead. I will complete a Spring spruce up and satiate the design bug. In the meantime, here’s some eye candy from the shoot.
