Let’s Paint Nails!

Why is this fun for girls? From the first day they can utter the words, they beg, “can we please paint our nails??” And why pink? And sparkles? I’m a converted tom-boy so this is all still a bit strange to me and against the whole running shoe thing to have pretty painted nails. And glitter. And bling. But she’s teaching me. At 4.
