Johnny Maestro & the Brooklyn Bridge

So while we were in New York, shooting Michelle and Steve’s wedding, we had the honor of meeting Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge, the Doo Wop, R&B, Pop, Rock band from Long Island, NY.   The groom’s dad is the first tenor for the group and band manager, Les Cauchi, and you’ll know them by their hits, “Sixteen Candles” and “The Worst That Could Happen”, just to name a few.  The wedding guests were all up on their feet as the group sang and erupted in applause as they finished up. What a night!

Here are some images from the reception. You’ll see Mr. Cauchi’s grandchildren keeping the doo wop style alive as they dance to the music!  He sang to them with this smile and glitter in his eye that will not soon by forgotten.

Great event, hope the family did enjoy it as much as it appears, wow, lucky people! I think these are the happiest photos I have seen on the Internet of the band. I do hope all are so enjoying!!! What really strikes me hard is that this is about Les Cauchi in much and I have a few comments to make!!! Too much to say, I must be too brief — so many years ago I placed an order and was in direct contact with Les and my order was 100% perfected, he is a hard working guy!!! Of course, I know of the history of Johnny Maestro, the Crests, the Del Satins, and listened endlessly and repeatedly to the songs. Les, Les, Les, how come there is not more of you, in listening closely to recordings, your voice comes out, your voice soars, your voice holds love and affection — where are your own recordings, you at whatever your time and age in your career sound like a Choir Boy, can never get enough of Johnny Maestro, all the guys, and we do hear the voice of Les Cauchi —- Jerry — Gerald Romas, 208 Bell Air Drive, Bolton, Ontario, Canada, L7E 1Z8 — Phone 905 857-3812 ——— All The Best To Evertone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband I just watched the 2004 DVD Johnny and group made. What voices. They are still fantastic. I just wish they would come out to Las Vegas or the Califonia…..Now that would be great. Keep on singing guys!
